Dang, he's cute....

Here are some shots of John Kalman's mealtime.  He loves his bumbo seat... it gives him perfect access to his toes!

Love Love Love.

Family Bike Rides...

We took John Kalman on our first family bike ride last weekend. Jack loaded up the tow-behind and I followed. JK seemed to enjoy it for a few minutes, but we didn't quite make it all the way to the beach as planned. He did, however, complete his first triathlon. Jack took him on a run that morning, he had swimming lessons at noon, and went on a bike ride at 3. Pretty impressive for a 6 month old!

Here is a little video of John Kalman talking. He is saying all sorts of 'ba bas' 'da das' and 'ma mas' lately... though i don't think he knows he's saying our names yet!

You'll see what a silly old man face he makes when he talks... and this one is particularly funny because he has a carrot goatee hanging from his chin and looks a little bit drunk!

enjoy!

Baby on the move...

John Kalman has been working hard this week to master the roll-over. He is getting good at rolling both ways, but he does get pretty frustrated when he's stuck on his stomach. So, his new thing is to lift his booty up in the air, and scoot across the ground on his face.
It's almost like crawling... and I imagine it's exactly how Jack learned 33 years ago. By muscling through it! (yes, that's right. My husband is only 33.)

Carrots, delicious.

John Kalman's diet is expanding every day. He has been eating carrots all week... and started bananas today. Up next, the wide world of sweet potatoes!

Rosemary Beach

We got back last night from a great trip to Rosemary Beach, Florida. Despite the fact that a beach vacation with five month old is not exactly relaxing... we had a wonderful time! The beach was absolutely beautiful, we dodged (not one, but) three hurricanes, and had gorgeous weather for all but two hours. NiNi and Pap Pap and Mike Mike and La La were there for the long weekend, and the Zapps and the Fas stayed for the rest of the week. John Kalman had a blast playing with his cousins, and he really enjoyed the pool. He wasn't a huge fan of the sandy/ sunny beach, but he adjusted after his daddy hooked him up with some cool shades and a baseball cap. Here are a few pictures, and I'll post a link to the rest of the photos as soon as they're uploaded.

Love to all!
